That change followed the World\nHealth Organization&#8217;s declaration of a global health emergency over\ncoronavirus.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Tuesday\nWhite House officials said they were considering a China travel ban but said\nthen they had not contacted the airlines. Still, if United, the other U.S.\ncarrier serving China with nonstop flights, follows its rivals&#8217; lead, the need\nfor White House intervention may be moot. United has already reduced its\nscheduled China flights.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>American Airlines<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p>American\ncited the State Department&#8217;s updated travel advisory Friday in suspending its\nU.S.-China routes immediately through March 28. The airline said it would\ncontact the affected customers directly to help them make alternate travel\narrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We\nwill continue to evaluate the schedule for March 28 and beyond and make any\nadjustments as necessary,&#8221; the airline said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Delta Airlines<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p>Atlanta-based\nDelta on Friday said it would suspend its U.S.-China flights from Feb. 6\nthrough April 30.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Coronavirus Grounds Flights to China From 3 Continents.
